Friends of the Library Seek Book Donations

Do you have some gently used books published in the last 10 years? Donate them to the Friends of the Library for their upcoming sale! Books from the past 10 years can be accepted at the library service desk during open hours.

If you have several boxes to give, stop by for one of the special “drop off” times-

Saturday, March 5th 10AM-2PM
Saturday, March 12th 10AM-2PM

If you stop by one of those times, the Friends can take the boxes from your car.

Help the Friends raise funds to keep the library’s services going!

Friends of the Library Easter Raffle!

Support the library and get a chance to win with our new raffle!

The prize is a great assortment of Easter stuff!

Proceeds of the raffle go to the Friends of the Library. You can get one ticket for $2, three for $5, or seven for $10!

The prize will be drawn March 24th.

Reading to Dogs, coming in March!

Your child can expand his or her confidence with reading by practicing with a trained therapy dog! Pals for Life will be visiting the Aston Library again! Reading to animals helps shy children and children having trouble learning to read build confidence in their literacy skills.

These are the dates for the programs:

Wednesday March 2nd at 6:30PM

Monday March 7th at 6:30PM

Wednesday March 9th at 6:30PM

Wednesday March 23rd at 6:30PM

These programs are free, but registration is required. Space is very limited, and children are expected to attend all four sessions. Please register at

Free Chair Yoga Coming Tuesday afternoons at Aston Library!!

Dates and times-

6 Tuesdays from February 23rd to March 29th at 2PM each day.

“Chair Yoga” is a gentle form of yoga that is practiced sitting in a chair or standing, using a chair for support. It is appropriate for adults of all shapes, sizes, ages and genders. This session will be instructed by Lisa Dombroski RYT.

The Library has “Nabi 2″s and “Nabi Jr.”s available for checkout at the desk. Both Nabi tablets are full-featured learning tablets built just for kids. They are designed as a learning tools, not just toys. The Nabi 2 is for a slightly older child; Nabi Jr. is for the younger set.
