“Hunger Is NOT A Game” Food Drive!
The Harry Potter Alliance and the local chapter, Dumbledore’s Army of Delaware County are working to fight hunger globally as well as locally. They have set up a food drive collection at the service desk of our library, to coincide with the release of the new “Hunger Games” movie. Please give non-perishable food! The food that we collect will be donated to the Delco Interfaith Food Assistance Network. The drive will continue at least through early April.

Whose Shoes…Shoe Donation Drive!
To coincide with this year’s One Book Every Young Child winner, ‘Whose Shoes: A Shoe for Every Job’ by Stephen R. Swinburne, the Ridley Township Public Library and Aston Public Library are starting a shoe donation drive!
From March 1 through April 25, patrons can donate their new or gently used shoes, sneakers, boots, and cleats to the Aston Library and they will be sent to “In Ian’s Boots Inc.”
This foundation is located in Pottstown, PA and is dedicated to providing footwear to those in need, and encouraging groups and individuals to sponsor collections for gently used shoes, winter boots and soccer cleats. This organization then cleans, sanitizes, packages and ships the items to where they are needed the most.
Boxes have been placed in the children’s area and new book area of the library for patrons to place their donations.
