Check out our new book display!

We now have a special display for our new Fiction and Non-Fiction books for adults! We hope this will save some space and provide an attractive and user-friendly place to find our newer materials. This display came from the Springfield Borders bookstore that went out of business.

Carpet square donation helps our children’s programs!

Pretzel Program for Kids!

Pretzel

Enjoy a twisted time for the whole family! Aston Library storyteller Ms. Joanne and John Howe, owner of Aston Pretzel Boys will put on a program Wednesday, November 30th at 6:30PM with music, jokes, games and songs, along with a demonstration of how pretzels are made. Appropriate for kids 3-10 and their parents. There will be free refreshments at the end!

“Honoring All Who Served” at the Library!

Jack McDermott, Beth McDermott, Cy Yost, Janet Yost and Joe Cuff from the Aston American Legion post number 926 are providing a display of veterans’ memorabilia at the Library during November. Items included are uniform patches, ribbons, newspaper articles, artillery shells and personal gear. There is a mess kit, gas mask, world war I uniform leggings, and other miscellaneous memorabilia. The display includes articles on loan from the American Legion of Aston as well as the Pennsylvania Veteran’s Museum of Media. Lisa Pietroswski from the Legion created the “Honoring All Who Served” design at the center of the display. The items will be on display until November 30th. Here are some pictures:
