Dine to Donate at Zac’s on December 12th!
Have dinner at Zac’s and raise money for the Friends of the Aston Public Library! If you dine at Zac’s at Five Points in Aston on Monday December 12th from 4-9PM, a portion of your bill will go toward the Friends of the Library if you present a flyer!

Bookmark Contest!
It’s time for the annual bookmark contest again! Children in grades K through 8 are eligible to participate. Just create an original bookmark using the form.

THE RULES:
1. Only two different entries per child allowed.
2. You must use black pen on white paper. Do not use colors!
3. Cut out bookmark along the dotted line.
4. Write your name, address, phone, school and grade on the back of each bookmark.
5. Entries must be original. Do not use copyrighted
cartoon figures. (For example: Garfield) They cannot be accepted. Computer generated art is not considered original artwork.
Deadline: Friday, February 10th, 2012.
All entries become property of the Aston Public Library.
Entries will be judged at the library. One winner from each division will be selected. Winners of the judging will have their bookmarks printed and distributed at the Aston Public Library.

Special Location and Time for December Board Meeting
The Aston Public Library Board of Trustees’ December meeting will be held at a special location – 51 Old Pennell Road Media, PA 19063 . The meeting will be at a special time as well – 6PM on Tuesday December 20th, 2011.

Friends of the Library Christmas Raffle!
Support the library and get a chance to win with our new raffle!
The prize is a Christmas gift basket containing all the comforts for reading pleasure during the winter months, including various tea blends, hot chocolate, Christmas mugs, cookies, candy, and a pumpkin pie scented candle.
Proceeds of the raffle go to the Friends of the Library. You can get one ticket for $2, three for $5, or seven for $10!

Holiday Event at the Library December 2nd!
There will be a special evening event on Friday, December 2nd at the Library, featuring Santa, the Christmas Tree lighting, Mr. Malcolm and games for the kids.
Santa is scheduled for a 6:30PM arrival.
Mr. Malcolm’s program will share the holiday classic ‘The Polar Express,’ and his very own ‘Abraham Mouse and the Magic Dreidel.’ His all-ages program will begin at 7:15PM.
The Library will be open specially that day until 8PM due to the programs!
