The Summer Wednesday programs for the kids will be held at the American Legion Hall at 3220 Concord Rd (just a few buildings down from us on Concord) until further notice due to a problem with the air conditioning in the gymnasium of our building.
Thanks so much to the American Legion for donating the use of their Hall to help us out when we needed it!

Sovereign Bank will present a free program “How to Live Richly on a Budget” at the Aston Library on Saturday, June 25th at 11AM. This program will provide tips on how to keep more of the money you earn. Financial consultations will also be provided, and there will be giveaways as well!

Girl Scouts from Troop 5798 will be presenting a recycling program for children at the Library on Tuesday, June 7th at 6:30PM! The Juniors will be answering any questions about their posters on the environment (on display at the Library), reading picture books about the environment and recycling and passing out copies of an activity/coloring book the girls put together. This is a project for their Bronze Award.
This is a kids’ program for all ages!

Looking to start your own business, but don’t know where to start? Then come to Aston Public Library to hear a representative from SCORE “Counselors to America’s Small Business” give tips on where to start in creating your own business. This introductory overview seminar will go over factors of success, business planning, financing your business, money management, insurance, marketing, etc. The seminar will also show you what resources are available to you through the library system.
The program will be Saturday, May 21st at 1PM!

Please join us at the Aston Library on Saturday, May 14th, 2011 at 1PM to learn about premium online genealogy resources that you can use for free, thanks to county and state funding. Helen Subbio, Information Services Coordinator for the Delaware County Library System, will introduce AncestryLibrary and Heritage Quest, part of the Power Library Plus database collection. She will also provide leads to other reliable websites and local genealogical centers, along with an overview of how to start genealogical research.
