Be a Friend of the Aston Public Library!

Join the Friends!

Who are friends?

The Friends of the Library are a group of people from the community who support and promote the library. They do EXTRAS: things the library cannot do on its own. Be a friend any way you can: by volunteering your time, by attending our events, or serving as an advocate of the library in your daily activities.

An informational meeting will be held in the near future. If you are interested in learning how you might become involved, please reply to us below (please provide a phone number) or sign up at the library.

We are accepting donated materials again!

Donated Books

We are again accepting books and other materials to add to our collection or to go to our book sale. Recent popular materials are a huge help to us in keeping the collection going under a tight budget!
There are some kinds of materials we are not able to accept for donation, however:

  • Books more than 10 years old
  • Vinyl records
  • Video or audio cassettes
  • Readers Digest Condensed Books
  • Almanacs or encyclopedias
  • Textbooks
  • Magazines
  • Moldy or wet items
  • Damaged items

There are other outlets that may be able to accept some of these materials, such as local thrift stores.

Thanks very much for helping us with our collection!
