Pals For Reading Returning to Aston Library!

Your child can expand his or her confidence with reading by practicing with a trained therapy dog! Pals for Life will be visiting the Aston Library again this June! Reading to animals helps shy children and children having trouble learning to read build confidence in their literacy skills.

These are the dates for the programs:

Wednesday, June 5 at 6:30PM
Wednesday, June 12 at 6:30PM
Wednesday, June 19 at 6:30PM
Wednesday, June 26 at 6:30PM

These programs are free, but registration is required. Space is very limited, and children are expected to attend all four sessions. Please register here:

Planting Storytime Coming Up!

The Aston Public Library will be having a “planting” story time program on Tuesday, April 30th and Thursday, May 2nd. Both story times will start at 10:30AM. The children will be planting flowers in a special garden that the Library keeps just for the children! Storyteller Ms. Joanne will be reading the book, Up, Down and Around by Katherine Ayres. Thursday Storytime is Back!

By popular demand, the Aston Public Library will be offering storytimes again on Thursdays at 10:30AM starting next week! Tuesdays at 10:30AM will also continue to be a storytime. You can choose your time an register your child today at http://www.tinyurl.com/astonkidsevents ! Storytimes can include music, stories, and coloring pages, depending on the theme for the week. Recommended for ages 2-6!
