Free Shredding May 11th for Aston Residents
There will be a free shredding event in our parking lot on Saturday, May 11th from 9 AM to 1 PM. Aston Residents only. Limit of 5 boxes (maximum size 12″ x 18″) or 5 paper bags per person.

Science in the Summer coming to the library July 8-11 – REGISTER NOW!
Science in the Summer is coming to the Aston Public Library again this year! The theme this time will be Bioscience. Science in the Summer is a free science education program that helps elementary school children “grow into science.” The program will be July 8-11 with both morning and afternoon options.
Come to the library to apply! The deadline is May 31. Places will be decided by lottery if there are more kids than spots.
There are two age groups: those entering Grades 2 and 3 (Level I) and those entering Grades 4-6 (Level II).

Library Coloring Contest!
The Aston Public Library is holding a coloring contest! Color the picture provided on the form, and enter it for a chance to win! People in Delaware County are eligible to participate. Just bring your entry to the library’s service desk.
THE RULES:
- Only two different entries per person allowed.
- All entries must be based on the form and picture provided.
- Include your name, address, age and phone number with your entry.
- Entries must be original.
Deadline: Saturday, June 15th, 2013.
All entries become property of the Aston Public Library.
Entries will be judged at the library. Winners of the judging will have their drawings displayed at the Aston Public Library.

Planting Storytime Coming Up!
The Aston Public Library will be having a “planting” story time program on Tuesday, April 30th and Thursday, May 2nd. Both story times will start at 10:30AM. The children will be planting flowers in a special garden that the Library keeps just for the children! Storyteller Ms. Joanne will be reading the book, Up, Down and Around by Katherine Ayres. This story time is for children aged 2 to 6 accompanied by an adult. Please go to www.tinyurl.com/astonkidsevents to register!
