Meet Local Author Jennell Williams
“Older Adults Should Not Be Left Behind” – This book seeks to provide “information inspiration” to older adults, and motivate them to engage in today’s digital society. It emphasizes the importance of technology skills to maintaining a high quality of life and remaining active in the world.
About Jennell Williams- Jennell L. Williams is an entrepreneur who started her business journey since 1983. She has established three corporations. Her areas of expertise include Direct Mail, Bulk Mail Preparation, Data Base Management, Mortgage Loan Origination, Housing (HUD) Counseling, Licensed Life and Health Insurance Advisor, Human Resource Consulting, Conflict Resolution Trainer Facilitator, Motivational Speaker, Health Care Management and Geriatric Consulting. Her companies have been awarded contracts with the Federal Government, State Government and Local Governments. She has provided Consulting Services for Xerox Corporation, Crozer Chester Medical Center, City of Philadelphia, DuPont Company, Liberty Resources Inc., Delaware County Community College, School District of Philadelphia and Univ. of Penn Presbyterian Medical Center.
Since 2008, Ms. Williams has led the “Senior Lift” program, an organization empowering baby-boomers, elder seniors and caregivers to access the resources that will aid them in sustaining the quality of their everyday living.

Zumbatomics for kids at the library!
Mrs. Moni’s Zumbatomics will exercise and engage the kids this coming Wednesday, August 26th! The program will be in the gym at 1PM. Please come and join the fun!

Library seeks volunteer book shelvers!
You can help people find books at the library!
The Aston Public Library is always busy and our books see a lot of use. If a book is misplaced, it can be lost for a long time.
In addition to putting books on the shelves, a Shelving volunteer is responsible for straightening, organizing, and maintaining a designated section of the library.
YOU can make it possible for library patrons to find the books they are looking for.
Requirements:
1. Detail/order oriented
2. Ability to work independently
3. Experience with filing
4. Be able to commit at least 5 hours a week, and do a basic training
5. Be an adult or teen age 15 years old and older with parental permission
6. PA Clearances
PLEASE NOTE CLEARANCES REQUIRED: All volunteers are now required to have acceptable clearances from the State Police AND Child Abuse Registry. These clearances may be obtained for free here- http://tinyurl.com/PAVolClear Note that you are a volunteer when sending in the form and the fee will be waived. Copies of clearances must be turned in to the library prior to beginning any volunteer service.

Makin’ Music at the library!
Makin’ Music will entertain the kids with a concert this coming Wednesday, August 12th! The program will be in the gym at 1PM. Please come and join the fun!
No matter what the child’s age, the exciting, rewarding experience of Makin’ Music creates natural stepping stones to formal music education and facilitates the transition to more advanced concepts.
