The Delaware County Highway Traffic Safety Project will provide a free safety check for your car seat at the Aston Library! An inspection of your seat will be provided and instruction, as needed, in the proper use and installation of child safety seats. Advance registration is required.

It’s time to register for this Fall’s season of story time! Ms. Joanne plays the ukulele, banjo and guitar to keep active kids singing and having a great time. Of course there are lots of stories, puppets, movement and crafts! Hope to see your there!
Time: 10:30am Tuesdays or Thursdays.
Place: Aston Public Library
Who can attend? Children aged 2 to 6. Infant and toddler siblings are also invited.

Who Can Do Chair Yoga?
“Anyone can do it!” Men as well as women. Chair yoga can benefit you whether you are a beginner who wants to start yoga slowly, out of shape, young or old, overweight or averse to gyms. It is also beneficial for most health problems or concerns in any one area of your body, or to gently help your body strengthen and recover from an illness or surgery. Remember to always check with your physician before starting any exercise program.
What is Chair Yoga?
Chair yoga is the term generally used to describe a gentle form of yoga that is practiced sitting in a chair or standing, using a chair for support. Chair yoga gives you the benefit of relieving stress and gentle stretching of muscles and joints. With the use of this type of yoga modification, it helps to make yoga easier if you have physical limitations in balance, flexibility, or strength. Yoga is not about trying to twist your body into a pretzel. It is meant to gently stretch and bend the muscles and open air flow with the breath. Whether you are doing classical yoga or chair yoga, you will leave class with a calmer state of mind and a more resilient spirit.

The Aston Community Center (our building) will be open to Aston residents as a welcome and warm short term shelter beginning on Saturday August 27 at 7:00PM.
Please, bring the following items:
Medications, oxygen etc.
Food and water for over night stay
blanket, pillow.
If you are need of a ride to the shelter call 911.

The kids had a good time at the final party for Summer Reading Club participants today! Here are some pictures!
